Another rather new approach it the Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS). The goal is to use electric impulses to stimulate the nerves in order to make the brain producing morphine like substances. This could help to cope with the pain cancer patients experience.
Lastly, there is meditation. I can only tell that it has worked quite well for me. And I don’t know anything more that just taking 5 minutes every day just for yourself, sitting their in silence and feeding myself with positive thoughts. When you have to deal with cancer, a positive attitude can make a huge difference.
